Bio: Patrick Sharkey received his Ph.D from Harvard in Sociology and Social Policy and is Associate Professor of Sociology at NYU.  His research agenda explores the role of neighborhoods and cities in creating and maintaining inequality across multiple dimensions. His book is titled Stuck in Place: Urban Neighborhoods and the End of Progress toward Racial Equality.
